Introducing SSO

AtlasRTX is excited to announce the general availability of two powerful security features: Single Sign-on (SSO) for Enterprise Access, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

These platform enhancements can seamlessly integrate with your existing organizational setup, or provide a secure solution for your team’s conversational operations.  In this update, we’ll focus on SSO!

If you’re not quite ready to migrate to your own Identity Provider, you can continue to rely on AtlasRTX for user account management – please see our companion MFA product update to learn more.

If you are wishing to leverage your own Enterprise SSO solution, please read on!

What’s Changing?

AtlasRTX is excited to offer SSO integration, and we’ve minimized any impact on your users – once configured, your users will login to the AtlasRTX platform and/or Mobile Messenger apps with their enterprise credentials.

• Username continuity:
  • You’ll continue using your organizational email address as your username
  • All existing user data is completely intact – all the roles, queues, conversations, and customer data will be right where you left them
  • The good news? No more separate passwords for the AtlasRTX platform!
• Improved security:
  • Login security characteristics like password complexity requirements, MFA, timeouts etc. are defined by the security profile of your organization’s identity provider
    • For example, if your organization already uses Microsoft as an identity provider, then our SSO integration will match your established policies and will stay in sync with any changes in the future
  • User accounts and passwords will be managed by your Identity Provider, so users will be able to use any “change/reset/forgot password” flows that are supported by your provider
• Updated login sequence:
  • After switching to SSO, users will no longer enter an AtlasRTX password to login – they will login to your identity provider with their enterprise credentials
    • First you will enter your email (same as today)
    • Then you’ll be prompted to sign in to your SSO provider, for example Microsoft or Google (if you’re already signed in with your provider, AtlasRTX will automatically log you in!)
